Building a platform that enables every artist to own their future.

With the current music industry largely remaining a relic of legacy record labels, the journey of UnitedMasters began with a simple question: if we were to create the record industry from scratch today, what should it be?

Beginning with the proverbial napkin sketch of an idea, I worked directly with the founder to secure funding, create the UnitedMasters brand identity, build a team across two coasts, establish a product across web and iOS, ignite growth through marketing, and more.

As I have recently been building The Coda Collection, my role at UnitedMasters transitioned to an advisor to the CEO. I remain as excited as ever about the mission of UnitedMasters and the potential for what it will become.

The problems that UnitedMasters seeks to solve have been festering in the music industry for generations. This film is a short overview of our motivations, and our momentum thus far.

When we were creating the UnitedMasters brand and looking to have artists join our mission, we wanted to create a lightning rod that connected deeply with artists of every genre and generation. This film became that lightning rod, and has been shown to more superstar artists than I can count (even if I were allowed to disclose who they are). And yes, the person doing the voice over is who you think it is. LFG!

One of our early breakthroughs was a pioneering partnership with The NBA that created a contemporary way for independent artists to break through the clutter of today’s music landscape. This film captures the early stages of this breakthrough.
